It’s now been a year. Pepper and Trooper are now a year old and both healthy!! They are inseparable. Pepper is 50lbs and long legs, Troope is still on the small side but picks fights with the other dogs. We think he would of been an alpha dog if he wasn’t so sick as a baby. He still has breathing issues. But he is a survivor. Sometimes I think I’m the one who takes care of them but in reality they watch over me. I love them dearly!

So its almost been a year and they have gotten big! Troopers ears are now like radar dishes and he loves his vet. He was recently sick but we knew it would happen. He weights 35 lbs and that’s gonna be it. Pepper is now 50lbs and very much like a lab. She loves cuddling under the covers and playing with Tank the new baby lab. She still looks after Trooper even though he likes to pick on her and start shit. Her and I go for runs and she loves it! Thanks for everyone’s support. These babies are alive and well and I couldn’t live without them!

Trooper is officially healthy!

So Troopster went to the vet yesterday for a clinical trial check up thingy..

and Doc says he is a healthy boy! except for the next round of antibiotics and neboulizer for his lungs, and his some what stunted growth. He is going grow old like his sister! He gets tested once more at the micro-plasm level for distemper and he is done!

Every few months he will get rounds of anti-biotics and the nebulizor thingy. But hes going to live.. YAY :)

What kinda dogs they are

So when I took Pepper and Trooper to the beach with my family, a family friend asked if they were part whippets…

Two days later mom and I google Lab and whippet mixes… low and behold no expensive DNA test needed. The babies are soo lab whippet mixes…

Here they are! New May Pictures!! As you can see Pepper has gotten so much bigger. Even though Trooper’s growth has been slowed due to him being sick, he is making a come back. He and Pepper wait for me by the door when I get home from work, He plays more, is quicker on his feet getting off the couch and bed. And he’s now eating 3x a day, with over 4 cups of dry and wet dog food! WOOT go Troopster!

More stuff soon!

And My mom no longer works for the Ranch, But We own the pups, and i spend lots of money at the vet lol. If it wasn’t for Village Vet in Tequesta, Trooper wouldn’t be alive today. So thank you Dr. Ely, Dr. Pullion, and Dr. Rosenburg.. Thank you for my dog! They follow me around the house when I am home, and sleep with me on the couch and in bed. I love them soo much!

Sorry..

So Sorry I havent been on lately to post new updates on Pepper and Trooper. We recently put Sadie down, and its been rough.

So heres a mini update. Pepper is healthy and getting big. She’s now 24lbs and growing. Crazy she is. Always gotta know what the other dogs are doing. She has also been a huge help in protecting Trooper and she makes sure he doesn’t over exert himself.

Trooper has gone through is first round of Distemper shots and it worked! His distemper has stopped progressing all together, and he is now on his second round of vials, and they hope to get it out of the micro plasm.. (still trying to figure out what that all means).

Hes not as big as Pepper, but he is eating a lot more and 3x a day. So hes getting healthier! We nebulize him every night, (he gets doggie ice cream as his reward). So that clears out all the crap thats built up in his lungs.

He still has damaged lungs, but he’s not coughing very little if not at all. He’s almost back to his old self. Just not as playful.

Have pictures and videos soon!

The University of Florida Vet school, is developing a vaccine for Distemper!

Trooper is going to be tested by them to see how high his levels are. If they are too high and he is sick, he will be getting a anti-virus treatment. Thank god for small miracles.

Three cheers for U of F!!!
